The Good Greek Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization established with the goal of giving back to our community. Our mission is to help people gain control of their futures and their freedom by providing vital resources through the generosity of donors.
MENTAL HEALTH
This pillar will include any charitable organizations and/or initiatives that support the broad areas of emotional, psychological, and social well-being.
Areas of focus include but not limited to: depression, anxiety, PSTD, interpersonal relationship issues leading to domestic violence, suicide prevention, neurological disorders, eating disorders, learning disabilities, sleep disorders and other psychological conditions.
RELOCATION/HOUSING/EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE
This pillar will include support for organizations and/or initiatives that focus on areas such as homelessness, low-income or assisted living (i.e. Section “8”) support, transportation and transportation logistics.
We will also include meal support, household items support, utilities clothing and community resources education related to human services and support of prosperity for all.
YOUTH SPORTS
Greece was home of the ancient Olympic Games, first recorded in 776 BC in Olympia. In ancient Greece, athletics emerged as “a way of communication that brings a great sense of connection between people.” It allowed individuals to elevate their position in society, train for combat, represent their city-state, and earn respect among their peers.
This pillar will focus on organizations and/or initiatives that support the opportunity for youth of all walks of life to participate in sports and athletic events regardless of their socio-economic backgrounds.
Attention will be given to sports that may have perceived barriers of participation (golf, tennis, swimming, gymnastics, general fitness centers/gyms and team sports such as football, hockey, lacrosse).
VOCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP
This pillar will assist in the efforts to raise funds and create scholarship for overall vocation awareness for the relocation industry, as well as support the growth and development of those who look to become future leaders in the industry.
We will work with college and universities to establish scholarship programs. We will also create special events and fundraisers within the Good Greek Foundation annual calendar to support these initiatives.
